Reduce difficult fat deposits without surgery or downtime. Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) is a highly effective way of contouring your body by reducing fat deposits. Cryolipolysis simply freezes the fat, then these dead cells are metabolised and eliminated by your body’s natural processes (‘apoptosis’).

Do you have areas of fat on your body that simply won’t go away no matter how well you diet and exercise? If you’re in generally good shape, but have areas of your body where unwanted fat spoils your contours, then Cryolipolysis fat freezing could be the ideal solution for you. Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) is a controlled freezing process that chills fat cells to the point where they die, so the body can eliminate them naturally. Clinical tests have proved that the low temperatures have no effect on the surrounding body tissues, and millions of people around the world have enjoyed the benefits of this technology.

Cryolipolysis can treat fat deposits in most areas of your body:

  • Abdomen

  • Upper arms

  • Flanks (‘love handles’)

  • Back (‘bra line’ and ‘back rolls’)

  • Thighs

  • Chin (double chin area)

The targeted fat deposit is drawn into the treatment cup, where precise cooling of the fat cells occurs. The area is chilled for approximately 45 minutes, and a number of the fat cells begin to die. Over the coming weeks and months, these dead cells are metabolised and eliminated by your body’s natural processes (‘apoptosis’). As this happens, the fat deposit gradually shrinks.

Results

Clinical studies have shown that up to 25% reduction in fat cells can occur in the treated areas. You will be able to see a difference within 4-8 weeks, but there should be ongoing improvement for up to 4 months. If you wish, you may have follow-up treatments on the same area to achieve further reduction. Additional treatments in the same body area should be spaced 6-8 weeks apart.

Pre-treatment

At your pre-treatment consultation, you will meet with one of our staff to confirm that Cryolipolysis Fat Freezing is the right procedure for you. We will take your medical history and will ask specific questions. You must disclose all information requested. Not to do so could expose you to unnecessary risk. You will be measured and photographed (if you choose). However taking your measurements is important to track the success of your treatments.

The Procedure

The areas to be treated will be cleaned in preparation for treatment. No anesthesia is required, but the area to be treated will be covered with gel and a gel pad to protect the surface of your skin from being damaged by the cold. The targeted tissue is drawn

up into one of the two treatment cups where precise cooling of the fat cells is controlled and maintained. This process has been proven to target and eliminate a percentage of the fat cells within the treatment zone. The sub-zero temperature kills the fat cells and triggers a natural metabolic process that gradually eliminates the cells and reduces the thickness of the fat layer over time. A standard treatment takes just over an hour, after which you can then return to normal activities. Inside your body, the process of cryolipolysis has already begun, as your body begins to process the destroyed fat cells. Visual changes can occur as early as 3-4 weeks after your cryolipolysis treatment, when you begin to see a reduction in the thickness of the treated area. The most dramatic results will be evident after one to three months. Your body will naturally continue to process the destroyed fat cells for approximately four months after your procedure.

Possible Risks and Complications

Cryolipolysis Fat Freezing is a non-invasive treatment, so it has fewer risks than surgical procedures. However, you should be aware that all procedures have certain risks associated with them. After cryolipolysis fat freezing treatments, you may experience some bruising, redness, or reduction in sensation in the treated area. However, these should not last more than a few days. You should contact Morris Code Beauty® Skin Care Clinic if you have any concerns about your condition.
